Additional Fees

Charter Pack 370€

Mandatory fee for cleaning, laundry, and consumables. Payable in cash at checkin.

Security Deposit / Damage Waiver (3,500€ / 500€)

Bareboat charters have two options:

  • Non-refundable Damage Waiver: €500 (added to the charter price)
  • Refundable Security Deposit: €3,500 (paid in cash at check-in). The deposit is returnable at the end of the charter minus any damages.
If you choose the Security Deposit, we strongly recommend that you also obtain a deposit insurance.

For skippered charters, the Damage Waiver is required.

Fuel & Port Fees (not included)

The yacht is delivered with a full fuel tank and must be returned the same way.

  • Fuel costs: approx. €150–€350 (depending on fuel prices, weather, and itinerary)
  • Port/marina fees: approx. €0–€500 (depending on itinerary).
Skipper 215€/day (Optional)

Skipper: €1,505 per week + meals. (If meals are paid in cash: €30 per day)

Payment: All payable in cash at check-in.

Hiring a professional skipper is highly recommended—even if you’re certified. It lets you relax, avoid potential damage costs, and benefit from local knowledge and hidden spots.

Charter Insurance (Recommended)

The yacht is fully insured.

We still recommend taking additional charter insurance—especially if you choose a refundable security deposit.
Optional cover can include things like cancellation insurance and deposit protection.

Recommended insurance providers:

Extra Equipment (Optional)
  • Kayak: 100 €/week
  • Stand up paddleboard (SUP): 100 €/week
  • Safety Net (installed): 200 €/charter
  • Extra Linen: 10 €/person
  • Beach Towels: 10 €/towel

Question & Answers

Embarkation & Disembarkation

Embarkation begins at 17:00 (5 p.m.) on the starting date. The yacht will be delivered cleaned, disinfected, with fresh linens, and with full fuel and water tanks.

The yacht must be returned in the same condition as it was received, with full fuel and water tanks.

It is compulsory to return the yacht to the charter base the evening before disembarkation, no later than 18:00 (6 p.m.), with the final night spent in port.

Please note that the time required for check-in and check-out procedures is included in the charter period.

  • During check-in, our base team will thoroughly review all safety equipment and operating procedures, as well as conduct a full technical briefing and inspection of the yacht.

  • The same procedure will be repeated at the end of the charter to verify the yacht's condition and its equipment, including:

  • Safety equipment

  • Cooking and refrigeration systems

  • Heads and showers

  • Engines

  • VHF radio

  • All instruments, including GPS

  • Charts and pilot books

  • Halyards, winches, reefing lines, rigging, and controls

  • Anchor system

  • Dinghy and engine

  • Other onboard systems

This ensures a smooth and safe experience for all charterers.

Insurance

Elysium Yachts provides full insurance coverage for the vessel throughout the charter period, in compliance with the charter contract terms. The insurance includes coverage for Yacht Hulls, Machinery, and Equipment, as well as Third-Party Liability.

A security deposit (currently €3,500), is required from the charterer at the start of the charter. This serves as the deductible under the yacht insurance policy.

As an alternative, you can purchase Damage Waiver Optino (currently €570).

Please note: The Damage Waiver optoin is mandatory for skippered charters.

We strongly recommend that you arrange travel insurance to cover non-refundable deposits in case of unexpected cancellations. Additionally, we advise securing personal travel insurance that explicitly includes sailing activities for your peace of mind.

For E.U. citizens (+ Norway and Switzerland) we can recommend the two following high value insurance packages:

Cancellation Policy

All charter cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or text message. The following cancellation terms apply:

Boat Charter

  • 91 days or more prior to departure: 25% of the total charter price is due.
  • 36 to 90 days prior to departure: 50% of the total charter price is due.
  • 1 to 35 days prior to departure: 100% of the total charter price is due.

Crew Arrangement

  • 15 to 35 days prior to departure: 50% of the total crew fee is due.
  • Less than 15 days prior to departure: 100% of the total crew fee is due.

No-Show Cancellation

In the case of a no-show, 100% of all charges, including the charter price, mandatory/optional extras, and crew fees, will be due.

Cancellation Guarantee

If the yacht is re-chartered under the same conditions (period, price, etc.) following a cancellation, Elysium Yachts will refund any cancellation fees, minus a €350 processing fee. Please note this does not apply to no-show cancellations.

Internet

If you have an EU mobile plan, you will likely have adequate internet access with free roaming in Greece. Some non-EU carriers also include roaming in Greece; please check with your provider. Alternatively, internet access packages can often be purchased online.

Important Note: As Kos and the Dodecanese islands are very near the Turkish coast, your phone may automatically connect to a Turkish network, often leading to significant roaming charges. To avoid this, we recommend manually setting your phone to a Greek network to prevent it from switching to a stronger Turkish signal.

For your convenience, we can provide a Wi-Fi router for onboard internet (subject to GSM coverage) with unlimited data, currently for €90 per charter week.

Provisions & Supplies

While the marina has a small, albeit pricey, shop, we suggest taking a 10-minute walk to the well-stocked Kritikos Supermarket for more extensive shopping. They offer a wide range of products and will deliver your purchases to the marina free of charge. Plan for 2–3 hours to complete provisioning and preparing the boat.
